Ever been to the Exploratorium?

The Exploratorium, located at the Palace of Fine Arts, offers free admission into the interactive museum the first Wednesday of each month.

This Wednesday, April 1, check out the dissection of a cow's eye, look at the muscle cells of a roundworm at the Microscopic Imaging Station or get a better understanding of your sense of sound through the Listen: Making Sense of Sound collections.

You can also rely only on your sense of touch in complete darkness in the Tactile Dome. Or even explore the Mind collection, which showcases over "40 new interactive exhibits that let you experiment with your own cognitive processes and emotional experiences- often in proactive and unexpected ways," described on the Mind Web site.

The Exploratorium, the museum of science, art and human perception is open
Tuesday-Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
and is located at 3601 Lyon Street in San Francisco.
